We produce a small number of birds using a French developed breed called the SASSO. This has been bred for its slow growing, dense flesh, which we believe is especially flavoursome, and has won us a gold award in the Organic Food Awards.
The birds are reared in small houses , on fresh clover leys, they have access to the clover from their third day. We buy in one day old organic chicks from organic parents.
The birds range over a wide area, they are given access to shade, and extensive perch space.
